Kendall Poovey

Second year graduate student; Lab coordinator 

Kendall is a first year graduate student in the Clinical MA program. Kendall grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and received her bachelors in psychology from Kennesaw State University.  As a graduate student, her interests include body image and disordered eating (pathology, intervention, social influences, etc.). After graduating she hopes to earn her Ph.D in Clinical Psychology. In her free time she likes to go to the lake and see her friends from back home.

Stephanie Taylor 

Second year graduate student

Stephanie Taylor is a first-year graduate student in the Clinical MA program with a focus of trauma in the veteran population. Stephanie grew up in Savannah, GA and received her bachelors in psychology from Georgia Southern University. As a graduate student, her current interests include the influence of mental health stigma on decision making in the military. After graduation she hopes to earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and eventually become a psychologist for the Army. In her free time, she enjoys taking her dogs on hikes and going to the beach.

Alexa Barrett

Second year graduate student

Alexa is a first-year student in the Clinical MA program. She grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and received her B.S. from Kent State University. Her current research interests are personality assessment (specifically the MMPI-2-RF), substance use, psychopathology within the incarcerated population, and academic integrity. She hopes to continue on to a forensically-oriented clinical psychology doctoral program. She enjoys hiking, being on the water, and traveling.

Nicole Dennis

Second year graduate student

Nicole is a first-year graduate student in the Clinical MA program. Nicole is originally from Apex, NC and received her B.S. in Biology and B.A. in Psychology from Salem College. As a graduate student, her interests include gender differences in perceptions of students with autism as well as the impact of physical activity on self-regulation and executive functioning skills. After graduating, she hopes to attend a doctoral program. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, hiking, and spending time with friends.

Maddie Adolf

First year graduate student

Maddie is a first-year graduate student in the Clinical MA program. She is originally from Huntersville, NC (just north of Charlotte), and received her B.A. in History of Science, Medicine, and Public Health from Yale University. As a graduate student, her interests include personality assessment in adolescents and premorbid indicators of personality disorders. After graduating, Maddie hopes to attend a doctoral program to become a clinician specializing in assessments. When she's not in class or doing research, she enjoys playing with her Tibetan Terrier puppy, Tilly, and rewatching the West Wing.
